Industry leaders align to provide ICD-10 education and training

Powder Springs, Ga. and Bethesda, Md.

Longstanding partners Coding StrategiesSM(CSI), a leading publisher, auditing and education consulting firm; and CodeRyte, Inc., the leading supplier of Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies in healthcare, announced today the expansion of their strategic relationship to give healthcare organizations the edge in ICD-10 preparations.

CodeRyte and CSI now offer a host of unbeatable services to organizations nationwide as they prepare for the ICD-10 transition. Together, CodeRyte and CSI provide clinical documentation assessment and improvement, and clinician and coder staff training, for the October 2013 transition.

"For years, CodeRyte and CSI have offered healthcare organizations a tremendous advantage in the marketplace," said Josh Pollatsek, CodeRyte Vice President of Services. "We are excited to continue that tradition with ICD-10 services and solutions to help these same organizations navigate one of the biggest coding revolutions in decades."

The joint offering includes assessment and monitoring of vendor, payer and hospital partner readiness; clinical documentation improvement assessments to ensure documentation meets ICD-10 requirements; education and training for clinical and coding staff; online portal and educational tracking through a robust Learning Management System (LMS); and coding environments for practice and familiarity with ICD-10 coding.

"CSI is very pleased to align with CodeRyte to offer vital education and reference tools to the healthcare community. The implementation of ICD-10-CM is arguably one of the greatest changes to ever impact the healthcare industry. CSI and CodeRyte's combined training, tools and resources will ensure a smooth and successful implementation for our clients," said Melody Mulaik, Coding Strategies President.

CodeRyte utilizes its language and coding expertise to ensure a seamless transition for clients to code in ICD-10 - incorporating ICD-10 data into its systems a full year before the official cutover date and configuring sites for clients as they determine they are ready to make the switch. Clients and partners have the unparalleled opportunity to code in ICD-10 and have the codes translated to ICD-9 for billing prior to October 2013, managing the training workload, identifying physician documentation needs and smoothing the transition.

CSI's strength is focused in its professional staff of certified, experienced medical consultants with extensive payer expertise, direct experience in billing, practice management companies and other consulting firms.

The original creation of CodeRyte and CSI's informal, referral partnership grew out of the organizations' years of working together to present coding and reimbursement strategy seminars for the AHRA's Leadership Institute. Coding Strategies and CodeRyte share many of the same clients and values, and were encouraged by their mutual clients to build on the momentum of the seminars and the rich content they offered.
