Early Registration Ends October 31st, 2012

Radiation oncology is a unique specialty with its own special set of compliance risks and requirements. Providers are subject to federal and state laws, regulations and payor policies governing physician supervision, coding, and medical necessity, among others. This session will give the radiation oncology professional the tools needed to ensure that his or her organization is in compliance with all of these diverse requirements.

The session begins with an overview of the major federal fraud and abuse laws, agencies and initiatives. The speaker will then discuss the development of a coding compliance program, including policies, procedures, auditing and monitoring. National authoritative coding guidance relating to date and site of service, unbundling and modifier use, Advance Beneficiary Notices, procedure and diagnosis codes are among the issues discussed. All subjects will be covered from the radiation oncology perspective.

This seminar is ideal for anyone involved in compliance or administration in a radiation oncology practice, freestanding treatment center or hospital radiation therapy department. Each participant will receive a copy of CSI’s Sub-Specialty Navigator® for Essentials of Billing Compliance for Radiation Oncology, a comprehensive reference manual.
