Jackie
Miller, RHIA, CPC
is a Senior Consultant with Coding Strategies, Inc., responsible
for auditing and education services related to cardiology and
radiology. Jackie is credentialed as a Registered Health Information
Administrator by the American Health Information Management Association
and as a Certified Professional Coder by the American Academy
of Professional Coders.
In the past, Jackie served as director of regulatory affairs
for a large national billing company and as a health information
manager at several acute care hospitals. During Jackie’s
20 years of CPT and ICD-9 coding experience, she has performed
coding audits for hospitals and physicians, designed and administered
coding training programs, and developed physician practice compliance
plans. She also has extensive experience in operations improvement
and medical documentation analysis.
Jackie
is the consulting (technical) editor of Radiology Coding Alert.
Her advice on coding and billing compliance has also appeared
in Radiology Administrator's Compliance and Reimbursement Insider,
Diagnostic Imaging Intelligence Report, Cardiology Coding Alert,
Billing, and other publications. She is also the editor of CSI's
popular reference guides on cardiology billing, Navigator for:
Invasive Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Procedures. Additionally
Jackie is the author of CSI’s E/M Navigator for Radiology.
Jackie
is a frequent presenter and seminar instructor on coding topics
for organizations such as AHIMA, AAPC, AHRA, The Coding Institute,
Decision Health, and others. She is a member of AHIMA’s
National Practice Council on Classification. In the past she
has served on AHIMA's National Coding Policy and Strategy Committee
and on the exam construction committee for AHIMA's physician
coder certification exam.
Jackie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, Magna
Cum Laude, from Bates College, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Jackie also earned a post-baccalaureate certificate in Health
Information Management from Stephens College.
